Unfortunately, this is yet another instance of the Scottish executive deciding that whilst they can have CCTVs at every street corner able to monitor every journey we make, we aren't even allowed to see a few key CCTV feeds which are critical for those travelling from Lenzie.

About Us

This website was set up by Mike Haseler, a father of three Lenzie children in March 2007. The site is entirely run by volunteers, and the not inconsiderable cost of maintaining the website is paid for by Mike Haseler in lieu of a donation to the community.

Aim of Site

The site was set up with the aim of helping to create more of a community spirit in Lenzie. More specifically to create a place on the internet where the many organisation that already do so much in their own way, could combine their resources to ensure as many people as possible in the village know what is happening in Lenzie.

Policy on Confidentiality

The only personal information on this website are email addresses supplied by the user when registering with the forum. These are by default private and unless the user elects to make them public they remain protected by encrypted passwords and will not be divulged to third parties of any kind.

We are willing to link to most local organisations, and are happy to have links to us from most websites. If a link is wrong or one needs adding please contact the Web Support.

Submitting Articles

We are happy to publish most pictures, articles, poems, essays, drawings, quizzes excepting only those that are not legal and decent (for terms see: Article for Publication. - we exclude honest because we might even publish political party manifestos!) Preference will be given to articles about the locality, written by local people and particularly those by younger contributors. Whilst not a priority, we will consider other articles on almost any subject so long as this does not compromise the neutrality of the site on any issue.

Support for Lenzie Groups

Don't have a web site? Then perhaps we can help - we can create a page for your group such as:

We can give you your own email address such as This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. which will forward any other email of your choice.

To avoid unwanted spam we can add your email to the contact form.

Within reason there is no price for genuine community groups.

Errors and corrections

Whilst we do try to check pages, smelling checkers don't always work and links do change, so if you see any errors, corrections that are needed, or just want to suggest improvements, please contact Web Support.
